Habitat CFC’s Youth United hosts Movie Night featuring Ferris Bueller's Day Off to raise funds for ninth co-sponsored home

Thanks to everyone who braved the storm to join us for Habitat CFC’s Youth United movie fundraiser! The Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 80s vibes were in full swing on the 40th anniversary of its release, as attendees enjoyed popcorn and snacks while trying their luck at the teacup raffle. It was inspiring to see so many people come together in support of affordable housing and Habitat’s mission.

Rising Youth United Co-President Nate Weiss delivered a heartfelt speech thanking sponsors and supporters before speaking about the importance of Habitat’s mission, the Quincy Street project in Fairfield, and Youth United’s ongoing work throughout Bridgeport.

Guests enjoyed a fun evening at the movies while also making a meaningful impact in their communities — and a few lucky attendees even went home with awesome prizes!

A huge thank you to our sponsors and supporters; to all the members of Youth United who worked hard to make this fundraiser possible; to board members Lauren Kelley Weiss and Beth Rafferty, who have poured so much energy and love into the Youth United program; and to Liz Kenny, our dedicated Youth United coordinator, for her hard work, guidance, and mentorship.
