Harlan Stone and HMTX Industries
Second Mile Award
Harlan Stone is Chief Executive Officer of HMTX Industries LLC, a global enterprise headquartered in Norwalk, CT manufacturing and distributing flooring. He serves on Habitat for Humanity’s Asia Pacific Development Council. HMTX has been a leading sponsor of the Jimmy and Rosyln Carter Work Project for the past three years. They have supplied the flooring for 239 homes since 2017. During that time Harlan and more than 75 HMTX employees have volunteered on the Work Project.

Corporate Citizenship Award
M&T Bank believes the power to positively impact communities happens both at a company and individual level. To turn vision into action, M&T provides employees the opportunity to volunteer “with the organizations that speaks to them.” M&T Bank has been a strong supporter of Habitat CFC since 2003. In 2022, Habitat CFC received a grant from M&T Bank’s Amplify Fund to enhance our Advancing Black Homeownership Program.
In recognition of their outstanding contributions to increasing affordable housing in Connecticut, Habitat CFC is pleased to award our first Corporate Citizen Award to M&T Bank.
In Memoriam of Victor Ryan Forbes
Volunteer of the Year Award
Victor’s involvement with Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County began in 2017 when he joined a volunteer Build Day. Soon after, he became involved with Youth United serving as a chaperone, volunteer, and photographer. Victor was a consistent presence as a volunteer and photographer for many Habitat events including the Annual Golf Outing, Women Build Meet Up and our Annual Gala.
